House at Chancery Lane (2008)
Surrounded by lush landscaping, this house is a private sancturary in the city. The house exudes nostalgic charm and has a rich history to it. The materials used were specially selected to blend in seamlessly with its more mature counterparts and are allowed to weather with time. Exposed brickwork, marks from creepers, rust on steel doors and watermarks on the floor were intentionally left untouched. The simple wood panelling, used throughout the living space, add to the classic charm of the house. Colours, textures and proportions of the interior elements engage with the natural light that enters the space.
